im only starting off and want something easy
That’s one of the old-style, air-pump-driven skimmers. They are still on the market (obviously), but they have fallen out of favor in the hobby because the newer, needle-wheel-driven skimmers are much more efficient. The ones with the wood airstone (like in that picture) may still work, but they won’t do the job that the current generation of skimmers can do.
