Aquarium getting turbid again but only slight? Is it normal for a 2 week old aquarium?
After 2 weeks, the water in my aquarium cleared up from being milky white to crystal clear which means it is getting matured (good bacteria has established). I did a 25% water change the next day (the proper way of course) and after 2 days, the water is getting slightly turbid but not as turbid as before. Is this normal? Will my aquarium go through the whole process again. Was my 25% water change have something to do with this?
By the way, I have a hang on side external filter and I rinsed the sponge in the cannister (not in the bucket where the old aquarium water was) while the motor is running and just catching the debris through the output with a fishnet. Could this be the reason?
Whenever you mess around in the tank (doing water changes, installing new equipment, etc.), your water will get cloudy. Just let it sit, and it’ll clear up.
Just because the water cleared though, that does NOT mean that it’s cycled. Cycling usually takes a month or more.
