How do you clean the gravel in a reef tank?
I was wondering, if you had a beatifully organised reef tank, how would you remove waste products from the gravel without disturbing the rocks above?
Also, just if anyone knows, how long does it take for live rock to grow all the cool corally things?
You can buy a Blue Cheek Goby and a Sand Starfish that clean your sand or as stated above using a tube and syphoning the crap out, that will work. The coraly bits are not grown, you may get small feather dusters that grow on your live rock, but the other coral you buy. I suggest you go to your marine shop and ask for some advise on things for cleaning and what corals will be best suited to your set up.
