Researching fish oil supplements may be something you never thought of doing, or may sound like a immensely boring thing to do. The species and freshness of the fish is of utmost importance. I only buy a supplement that uses a single species of fish .My choice of good fish oil comes from an oily New Zealand fish Hoki This blue silver colored fish has white flesh which is packed with the richness of omega 3.

The fish needs be harvested close to the processing plant.  Fish left in storage for long periods have a higher chance of going rancid. Also to pass my quality test, the oil must have gone through an immense purification procedure. This information should be found on the company website or on the label

Unpolluted Waters

There have been some alarming claims that some brand of fish oil in the market are contaminated and have found to have traces of lead and mercury and other chemicals that may cause cancer in the oil. This is why I prefer Hoki fish as it caught in the unpolluted oceans around the coastlines of New Zealand.

What Is COA

They should be able to show a certificate of analysis on the label or website This COA can be quite informative giving you information ranging from the freshness, heavy metals and pesticides and pollutants.

Potency Levels

Look at the levels of omega 3 can reduce the swelling inflammation and soreness in their joints and also choosing a supplement that is high in omega 3 fatty acids benefits major parts of our body like the brain and heart.

 Servings Portions

The servings per bottle are important as some have lower mg of omega 3 per soft gel Taking some time to work out the serving dosage and omega3 levels and the amount of capsules in each bottle is really worth it .Your health is depending on you to do the research.
