Electric Gravel Siphon

Can you use saltwater decor/equipment in a freshwater tank?
My dad has a well established (no coral) 75 gal saltwater tank. He has some things in there like an air pump with the tubing and the air stones in there as well as decor like real snail shells from snails that died in the tank before hand and electric clam shells from the clams that died. He also has a gravel siphon.
All of this stuff had been well used in the tank over 5 years, but he no longer needs the air pump (he is upgrading). Is it possible for me to use that same air pump for my tank. The real worry is the air stones that have been in the water. If I clean those up can I use them in my 10 gal freshwater tank?
Also the gravel siphon. I don’t have one yet, can I use his for my tank? The saltwater goop and junk is well in the hose, not in the siphon itself. It’s clean. Can I use that for my tank to clean it?
Lastly the cool shells he has! If I washed them out really well and scrubbed at them could I place the shells in my tank for decor?
